Facial skin relaxation, sagging of the jowl and neck skin laxity can occur as early as the late 30’s in some individuals. There are a number of options in reversing this phenomenon, giving someone a refreshed more youthful look! One option is a “mini-facelift” considered a less invasive surgical procedure to rejuvenate the face. This is an out patient procedure designed to decrease the depth of the nasolabial folds, tighten the face skin, and pull up the sagging neck and jowl. The recovery in most cases is 5-7 days with return to work in one week!

The incisions are placed in front and behind the ear, as well as into the hairline as to remain inconspicuous. Because there is much less dissection, there is considerably less risk to the facial nerves then in a conventional facelift. Patients with redundant “turkey-gobbler” necks are not candidates for this operation, and best qualify for conventional face lift operations. Often this procedure is enhanced by eyelid surgery, nasal surgery, or facial peels when considered appropriate. The degree of patient satisfaction is quite high!
